Lavrov hopes for inclusive Syria talks in Moscow

MOSCOW. Jan 14 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov hopes the upcoming intra-Syrian talks in Moscow will be held at the right level with the right people.

"Those who will suddenly decide not to attend the event, I think they will miss out on what affects their positions in the entire negotiating process. So we are hoping for a good level of representation," Lavrov told a press conference in Moscow.

"Our feeling, from talking to various opposition groups, to those states in whose territories these opposition groups are operating, including Syria, of course, is that there is a realization of the expediency and even the need for such a meeting," the minister said.
