Japanese premier to consider possibility of attending commemorations of WWII victory anniversary in Moscow

MOSCOW. Jan 23 (Interfax) - Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will consider the possibility of his visit to Moscow in May to attend the events that will mark the 70th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany in World War II.

"Prime Minister Abe has received an invitation from President [Vladimir] Putin to the May 9 ceremonies. The possibility of his attendance will be considered," a spokesperson for the Japanese Embassy in Russia told Interfax on Friday.
