Flight school cadets to get more practice - Air Force commander-in-chief

BARNAUL. Jan 27 (Interfax) - In the future, cadets at Russia's flight schools will be starting flying practice from the first year of training, Russian Air Force Commander-in-chief Col. Gen. Viktor Bondarev said.

"We are working on this mater. For now we'll start flying from the second year by applying maximum of effort. This is necessary in order for the cadet to have substantial flying experience upon graduation. And then, once we achieve the required parameters, we will be planning flights from the first year," he told reporters at an event titled "Military service under contract: your choice!"

The first cadets enlisted in 2013 will start flights in 2016, he said.
