DPR chief negotiator heads to Minsk

MOSCOW. Jan 30 (Interfax) - Denis Pushilin, chief negotiator of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), has received an official invitation and is now on his way to Minsk, which is expected to host the next meeting of the trilateral Contact Group for Ukraine on Friday.

"Indeed, I am on my way to Minsk now. An official invitation to attend this meeting has been received from the OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe)," Pushilin told the Donetsk news agency.

It was reported on Thursday that chief negotiator of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) Vladislav Deinego had also left for the Belarusian capital.

On Thursday, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko met with former President Leonid Kuchma, Russian Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov and Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Special Envoy Heidi Tagliavini and called on them to immediately hold consultations with the signatories to the Minsk agreements.
