MOSCOW. Jan 30 (Interfax) - South Ossetian Foreign Minister David Sanakoyev will visit Moscow at the invitation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on February 18, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"The Russian-South Ossetian negotiations will address the prospects of further strengthening of friendship between the two countries, the vital aspects of the situation in the Southern Caucasus, and ways of strengthening peace and security in the region," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a report posted on its website on Friday.
"The ministers will discuss measures to improve foreign policy interaction, including on the Geneva debate site," the report says.
The ministry reiterated that "a previously approved bilateral treaty on the state border is expected to be signed" during Sanakoyev's visit to Moscow.
