MOSCOW. Jan 30 (Interfax) - Some fifteen people were killed in an attack in the populated area of Opytne, Donetsk.
"The shelling, which killed at least 12 people, came from the populated area of Opytne," the DPR Defense Ministry told the Donetsk News Agency.
"Opytne is a neutral zone located north of the Donetsk airport. The Ukrainian troops went there and opened fire on the city. After that, they retreated to their positions," the ministry said.
According to the most recent reports, the shelling of a trolley bus in Donetsk saw five civilians killed and also, another five people were killed in the Kyubyshev Culture House.
"We also have information on the death of five people in Azotna. The information is currently being verified," the Donetsk News Agency has reported.
A representative of the DPR militia told Interfax the shelling also damaged the Kyubyshevsky district interior affairs department and a nearby garage.
