Ukrainian army officer arrested for sedition - SBU

KYIV. Feb 4 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) has confirmed the arrest of a Ukrainian officer, who worked for the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff, and his accomplice from the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), both of whom coordinated and organized provocations and informed militias about the location of Ukrainian military forces.

Speaking at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday, SBU chief Valentyn Nalyvaichenko announced the arrest of "the Ukrainian citizen Chernobai, born 1974, a lieutenant colonel from one of the upper units in the Ukrainian General Staff," and his accomplice, a DPR representative who, along with him, "organized subversive activity in the Ukrainian army."
