EU permanent representatives propose extension of sanctions over Ukraine

BRUSSELS. Feb 5 (Interfax) - The Committee of Permanent Representatives in the European Union (COREPER) on Thursday agreed on a proposal to add 19 individuals and nine companies to the list of sanctions imposed over Ukraine, and will submit the document for consideration to EU foreign ministers, an EU diplomatic source told Interfax in Brussels.

The ministers, as has already been announced, are due to make resolutions at an EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting on February 9, the source said.

He could not say exactly when these documents will be published. .

This is possible as early as next Monday afternoon, if the relevant resolution is made by the Council, he said.

But at this stage he said that he couldn't be sure if it would happen on Monday.

It will be as the ministers decide, the diplomat said.
