Lavrov to speak about causes of crisis in intl relations at Munich conference

MOSCOW. Feb 6 (Interfax) - In his speech at the Munich conference on security issues, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will address the issue of the crisis in international relations.

"The main emphasis in Sergei Lavrov's speech at the high-level plenary session on the 'collapse of the world order' will be on the analysis of the systemic causes of the current crisis in international elations," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a commentary released on Friday.

"Among the issues brought to the attention of the meeting's participants, will be the construction of collective Euro-Atlantic and global security systems on the basis of equal rights and mutual interests," the commentary says.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said Lavrov will pay a working visit to Germany to participate in the 51st session of the Munich Security Conference held on February 6-8. Among the conference participants are the heads of state and governments, the heads of some international organizations, the foreign and defense ministers, parliamentarians, prominent politicians and experts on international affairs.

During his stay in Munich, Lavrov will have bilateral contacts with some foreign officials participating in the forum, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
