Kadyrov condemns killing of Jordanian pilot by Islamic State militants

GROZNY. Feb 8 (Interfax) - Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of Chechnya, has extended his condolences to the king of Jordan about the killing by Islamic State militants of a Jordanian pilot.

"ISIS has carried out another cruel murder. Moaz al-Kasasbeh, a pilot in the Jordanian Royal Air Force, was burned alive. The Muslims of all countries deeply condemned this act," Kadyrov said on Instagram.

"On behalf of all people of Chechnya, I extend deep condolences to my elder brother Abdullah II, King of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the pilot's father Yusef Kasasbeh and all the people of Jordan. Our hearts are with you and we grieve with you. I also want to assure you that we will do everything to fight the enemies of Islam," Kadyrov said.

The Jordanian pilot, who was captured in December 2014, was burned alive by Islamic State militants despite the fact that Jordan was prepared to make a deal with the militants by trading the pilot for terrorist Sajida al-Rishawi. After the pilot's death, the Jordanian authorities announced that the terrorist would be executed.
