Guard ship Ladny leaves Sevastopol for Mediterranean

SEVASTOPOL. Feb 6 (Interfax-AVN) - The Black Sea fleet's guard ship Ladny left Sevastopol and took a course to the Black Sea straits, captain I Rank Vyacheslav Trukhachyov, the head of the information section of the Black Sea fleet, told Interfax on Friday.

"The guard ship Ladny, which is under the command of Captain II Rank Oleg Knyazev, will join the permanent unit of the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean on the basis of rotation, replacing the Baltic fleet's guard ship Yaroslav Mudry," Trukhachyov said.

Trukhachyov said this mission is the first mission for the Ladny after recent maintenance and modernization.
