West seeking to dominate world - Lavrov

MUNICH. Feb 9 (Interfax) - The West is pursuing a course toward preserving its dominance of the world, and this process has reached its climax now, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"We believe we are seeing the culmination of the course that our Western partners have pursued over the past quarter century to preserve their dominance in international affairs and occupy geopolitical space in Europe at any cost," Lavrov said at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday.

"CIS countries, which have been linked with us by economic, humanitarian, historical, cultural and even family bonds for centuries, were told to make a choice between being either together with the West or against the West," he said.

"This is zero-sum game logic, which we all would like to leave in the past," he said.
