MOSCOW. Feb 9 (Interfax) - A Russian humanitarian aid convoy which delivered humanitarian cargoes to Donetsk, is returning to the Rostov region, said Oleg Voronov, deputy head of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry's National Crisis Management Center.
"The cargo was unloaded in Donetsk and the convoy is now on its way to the Russian border," he told Interfax on Sunday.
Voronov said that over 100 motor vehicles had delivered more than 1,100 tonnes of humanitarian aid, including food, construction materials and first necessity goods, to Donetsk.
Another column of 70 motor vehicles had delivered over 700,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Luhansk.
The column has gone through customs checks at a border checkpoint, crossed into Russia and is on its way to the Don rescue center in the Rostov region," Voronov said.
Over 170 motor vehicles have brought more than 1,800 tonnes of humanitarian cargo to Donbas on Sunday.
