ASTANA. Feb 9 (Interfax) - A delegation of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Defense visited the Kazan Helicopter Plant, Tatarstan, to sign a road map for cooperation in the military-industrial sector, the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan said on Saturday.
The document aims to expand maintenance services of helicopters and military machinery.
"Kazakhstan is interested in supplying Kazakh products for Kazan helicopters, namely optoelectronic products manufactured by Kazakhstan Aselsan Engineering LLP," Defense Minister of Kazakhstan Imangali Tasmagambetov was quoted as saying in a press release.
Kazakhstan also plans to expand a mutually beneficial cooperation with the Kamaz (MOEX: KMAZ) by organizing a regional network of military vehicles maintenance.
Tasmagambetov said the existing certified Kamaz might contribute to these efforts.
