Putin, Nazarbayev discuss possible solutions to Ukraine crisis - Kremlin (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Feb 9 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has spoken with Kazakh leader Nursultan Nazarbayev by telephone, the Kremlin press office said on Monday.

"They discussed possible ways to resolve the crisis in southeastern Ukraine, as well as certain practical aspects of integration cooperation as part of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU)," the press office said.

For his part, Putin informed Nazarbayev about the results of his talks with the German and French leaders in Moscow on February 6 and their telephone conversation in the "Normandy format" (i.e. involving Germany, France, Russia and Ukraine) on February 8, the press office said.

"Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed his confidence that the four-party talks in Minsk scheduled for February 11, will help reach compromises in the search for ways to resolve the conflict in Ukraine," the press office said.
