Iran defense minister to visit Moscow

MOSCOW. Feb 9 (Interfax) - Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan has accepted an invitation to visit Moscow in order to attend a security conference to be organized by the Russian Defense Ministry, the Russian ambassador to Iran said on Monday.

"We are satisfied that the minister of defense of Iran, Hossein Dehghan, has agreed to visit Moscow to participate in a security conference that has tentatively been scheduled for April of this year," Levan Dzhagaryan told Interfax.

The diplomat said an agreement on military cooperation signed during a visit of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu to Tehran last month made provisions for joint military exercises, among other things.
