MOSCOW. Feb 11 (Interfax-AVN) - Search and rescue services have located the scene of the crash of a Sukhoi Su-24 frontline bomber in the Volgograd region.
"The crash scene has been cordoned off, a search and rescue team has put out the fire at the scene and measures have been taken to find the crewmembers," a source with the regional law enforcement and security services told Interfax-AVN.
Search and rescue teams have flown over the surrounding territory but have not found any parachutes canopies that the pilots would have used to eject. "The crew's fate is still unknown," the source said.
