Izhevsk exhibition visitors to be shown combat snakes, bats, pigeons

MOSCOW. Feb 11 (Interfax-AVN) - An exhibition titled "Animals at War," organized by the St. Petersburg Military-Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineering and Communications Forces, is due to open at the M.T. Kalashnikov Museum and Exhibition Small Arms Complex on February 12, a Russian Defense Ministry spokesperson said.

"Military horses, elephants, pigeons, dogs and even venomous snakes and bats served in most armies across the world. Visitors will be able to see mockups of military animals, as well as genuine items of animal gear and care," the ministry said in a press release obtained by Interfax-AVN on Wednesday.
