MOSCOW. Feb 12 (Interfax) - The U.S. is artificially supporting the debate in Europe on the supply of weapons to Ukraine, Russian envoy to the EU Vladimir Chizhov said.
"I think this subject is now largely artificially added to the discourse on the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis. It is known who added it, it is mainly those overseas, in the U.S.," Chizhov said in an interview with Rossiya 24 television station on Wednesday.
"I think the position of the current majority, that is, the republicans, is now the most active, but the fact that the U.S. administration is divided on this matter is very telling, too," he said.
