MOSCOW. Feb 12 (Interfax) - The village of Logvinovo is controlled by the armed forces of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), DPR deputy militia commander Denis Sinenkov said on Thursday.
"Logvinovo is now fully under our control. We have just repelled a third attempt to break through the ring. It was repelled very successfully, with them (the Ukrainian armed forces) sustaining big losses. Now we are re-deploying two more companies there to seize the heights," he said on the Rossiya-24 television on Thursday.
Logvinovo is located along the Debaltseve-Artyomivsk highway in the Donetsk region.
Earlier the DPR army headquarters said that militias had gained full control over Logvinovo on February 9. Also, militias reportedly blocked a route used to supply munitions and equipment for the Ukrainian troops encircled in Debaltseve.
