DPR to launch digital television with Russian channels

DONETSK. Feb 12 (Interfax) - The Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) is launching its own digital television, t2, which will be available to viewers both in DPR-controlled areas and the rest of Ukraine.

"The television channels are not encoded, they are freely available and can be broadcast in areas temporarily occupied by Ukraine, for instance, in Kramatorsk and Volnovakha," DPR deputy minister of Informatization Alexander Ryzhkov told reporters.

Thanks to the T2 receiver, Russian channels and four local ones will become available, he said.
