Donetsk militiamen tell Ukrainians to surrender weapons, leave Debaltseve

MOSCOW. Feb 13 (Interfax) - Militias in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) are ready to cease fire in Debaltseve "right now," DPR defense official Eduard Basurin said on Thursday.

"We have repeatedly offered, and are offering now, for the sake of avoiding unnecessary casualties, keeping the lives of Ukrainian citizens and their return home to their families, to cease fire in Debaltseve right now. We are ready to organize their exit from Debaltseve for the sake of keeping people's lives. They should leave their weapons and go," Basurin said at a briefing at the Donetsk news agency.
