MOSCOW. Feb 13 (Interfax) - Luhansk came under another artillery attack launched by the Ukrainian army, the Luhansk Information Center reported on Thursday.
"Strikes were carried out against the 50-letiya Oktyabrya, Volkov and Gagarin districts at around 8 p.m.," according to the report, which cited residents of eastern Luhansk.
A big fire started near a former factory, it said.
Power supplies and telephone communications have been cut.
This morning, the emergency minister of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), Sergei Ivanushkin, told about overnight shelling of the city.
"It is believed (the attack) with Smerch multiple rocket launchers began at 00.15 a.m. on Thursday. There were no casualties as a result of the overnight shelling of Luhansk," he said, according to the Luhansk information center.
