MOSCOW. Feb 13 (Interfax) - Over forty kilos of heroin was seized in a special operation conducted by the Russian Federal Drug Control Service, the Federal Drug Control Service press service told Interfax on Friday.
"Over forty kilos of heroin, which could have been used for making over 800,000 one-time doses and could have been sold for over 1 billion rubles, has been removed from illegal circulation," the Federal Drug Control Service has reported.
Twenty-three people, who make up the backbone of the group and who transported, stored and sold highly-concentrated heroin, have been detained in a special operation (code name "Aladdin") conducted in the Moscow and Yaroslavl regions, the agency said.
