Donetsk republic urges Ukrainian military to leave Debaltseve unarmed, in organized manner

MOSCOW. Feb 16 (Interfax) - Head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic Alexander Zakharchenko has urged the Ukrainian forces, encircled in Debaltseve, to leave the city unarmed and in an organized manner.

"All of the Ukrainian servicemen now in Debaltseve and in nearby populated areas must leave the city in an organized manner, unarmed and without military hardware," Zakharchenko said in an official statement, posted on Donetsk News Agency's website.

The statement says that attempts to break out into Ukraine's territory, or to storm militia positions in this area would be cut short.
