DONETSK. Feb 16 (Interfax) - The military leadership of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic has urged Kyiv not to violate the Minsk agreements, and announced the beginning of mine-clearing operations.
"We are urging Kyiv not to violate the Minsk agreements. The Donetsk republic has started an operation to de-mine the infrastructure, including transformer substations, boiler houses and roads, earlier mined by the enemy," Donetsk militia spokesman Eduard Basurin told the press.
He said the Ukrainian military could be planning provocations in the Donetsk republic.
"We have obtained intelligence suggesting that the Ukrainian side is preparing provocations against the Donetsk People's Republic. Large groups of Ukrainian journalists have been noticed in some cities, who want to document what we have never done," Basurin said.
