MOSCOW. Feb 26 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Donetsk (DPR) and Luhansk (LPR) People's Republics announced that they had pulled some 400 units of heavy military hardware back from the line of contact since February 22.
"We have withdrawn approximately 400 units of heavy hardware, including 320 Ukrainian weapons from the Debaltseve pocket," DPR envoy Denis Pushilin told Interfax.
Hopefully, Kyiv will also start to abide by the latest peace accords, he said.
"We very much hope that Ukraine will also begin observing the signed document (weaponry withdrawal plan) and will start to pull back heavy military hardware under monitoring of the joint control and coordination center, as well as the specialized monitoring mission of the OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe)," Pushilin said.
