MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - The Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary General for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Geneva and expressed his support for Moscow's efforts to establish a dialogue between Damascus and the Syrian opposition in the form of the consultations held in the Russian capital in January, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"De Mistura highly praised Russia's efforts to establish contact between Damascus officials and the wide spectrum of the Syrian opposition during the Moscow consultations in January this year," the ministry said on its website.
