Man injured during mine-clearing operation in Luhansk republic

LUHANSK. March 16 (Interfax) - A man was injured when emergency situations personnel in the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic hit a mine during mine clearing operations on Monday along a high-voltage electric power line, said chief of the republic's emergencies ministry Sergei Ivanushkin.

"Bomb disposal personnel were sweeping mines along a high-voltage electric power line between the Kirovskaya substation and the Luhansk thermal power plant in the town of Schastya. The mine-clearing motor vehicle hit a mine and was destroyed," Ivanushkin told Luhansk Information Center on Monday.
