Ukrainian PM hopes EU will back Kyiv's idea to deploy peacekeepers in Donbas

BRUSSELS. March 19 (Interfax) - Both Ukraine and the international community are interested in the deployment of peacekeepers in Donbas, says Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk.

"Deploying peacekeepers would be in our common interest - this is the Ukrainian president's and government's initiative, and we hope our European friends will support this idea," Yatsenyuk told journalists following a meeting with European Council President Donald Tusk on Thursday.
