BRUSSELS. March 24 (Interfax) - The North-Atlantic alliance, which accuses Russia of waging a "hybrid war," is ascribing it the use of the tools it has long been using itself, Russian Ambassador to NATO Alexander Grushko said in response to a speech by the supreme commander-in-chief of the NATO joint armed forces in Europe Gen. Philip Breedlove at a forum in Brussels on Monday.
"General @PMBreedlove is right: hybrid toolbox is a ''collection of tools that we've seen in warfare before'', most notably during the military campaign in Iraq, NATO bombings of former Yugoslavia and intervention in Libya," Grushko wrote on the Tweeter account of the Russian delegation to NATO.
It is unlikely NATO can claim its right to the "truth," he said.
"In many case, the alliance's decisions and actions were based on politically motivated versions," Grushko said.
"Judging by the statements of #NATO officials, NATO intelligence fusion centre (NIFC) does not take into account #OSCE SMM reports from the ground (in eastern Ukraine)," said the Russian ambassador to NATO.
