Russian specialists to inspect Hungarian infantry brigade

MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian military inspectors will visit an infantry brigade of the Hungarian Armed Forces, head of the National Nuclear Threat Reduction Center Sergei Ryzhkov told Interfax-AVN.

"Pursuant of the 2011 Vienna Document on confidence building measures and security, a Russian inspection team will visit a military site of the Hungarian Armed Forces," he said.

The 25th infantry brigade named after Gyorgy Klapka and stationed in the town of Tata in northwestern Hungary will undergo a one-day inspection on March 24, he said.

The inspectors will visit the regular peace-time location of the brigade headquarters and the brigade command will brief them on the personnel and main types of armaments and military hardware, Ryzhkov added.

"The inspections aim at verifying information about military personnel and plans of deployment of main types of armaments and hardware," he said.
