VLADIVOSTOK. March 24 (Interfax) - A police van carrying a suspect was attacked in Vladivostok in Russia's Far East on Tuesday, a source in the region's law enforcement agencies told Interfax.
"The preliminary information available indicates that two policemen were killed and another one was seriously injured as a result of the attack," he said.
The defendant was being transported from a remand center in the Nadezhdinsky district of the Primorye territory to a court in Vladivostok.
The source, however, declined to say whether the suspect had managed to escape.
Interfax has so far been unable to obtain official confirmation of the report.
