One killed, two injured in Mi-24 helicopter crash in Ukraine

KYIV. March 24 (Interfax) - A Mil Mi-24 military helicopter crashed in the Vasilkovsky district in the Kyiv region on Tuesday afternoon, regional police said.

"One person has been killed and several injured," a Kyiv police spokesperson told Interfax.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Kyiv regional prosecutors said that one officer had been killed and two others had been hospitalized with injuries.

"A lieutenant has been killed, and a captain and a major have been injured. They were hospitalized," the spokesperson said.

The helicopter belonged to a military base in the Lviv region, he said.
