LPR negotiator praises Contact Group videoconference

LUHANSK, Ukraine. April 2 (Interfax) - The chief peace negotiator of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic said a videoconference by the Contact Group had made him more optimistic.

"We stated our vision of the situation in general terms and are getting ready for forming working groups. After such a lengthy hiatus we are moving toward the implementation of the package of measures. There is hope that we will persuade the Ukrainian side to implement the package of measures," Vladislav Deinego said.

He said the Contact Group might hold its next conference "quite soon."
