DONETSK. April 2 (Interfax) - Both conflicting sides in Donbas are using heavy armaments in the buffer zone, the OSCE observers have said.
OSCE spot reports indicate that armaments, both artillery and mortars, are being used in the areas where the use of such weapons is prohibited, and these incidents speak for themselves, Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (OSCE SMM) Alexander Hug told reporters.
He noted that the monitors would be ready to verify only a complete pullback of heavy weapons.
So far, the monitors are not able to declare a complete withdrawal of heavy armaments by the conflicting sides, he said.
