MOSCOW. April 6 (Interfax) - A Russian plane evacuated 159 people, among them 47 Russian nationals, from the Yemeni capital city of Sana'a on Monday, press attache of the Russian Embassy in Yemen Timofei Bokov said.
"The plane has departed with 159 people, among them 47 Russians, onboard," Bokov told Interfax on the phone.
The passengers include citizens of a number of CIS countries and other states, such as France, he said.
As to whether new flights from Yemen may be arranged soon for evacuation purposes, Bokov said: "We are considering further evacuation options which will depend on the circumstances."
"Russia is constantly receiving evacuation requests but the number of requests filed by Russian citizens has not been large," the press attache said.
