MOSCOW. April 9 (Interfax) - The leadership of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) attaches hopes for the return of Kyiv to the political settlement of the conflict in Donbas after the meeting of foreign ministers of the Normandy Four in Berlin on April 13.
"We pin our hopes on Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. He is a fairly tough negotiator. We hope this will help return Kyiv to the table of a political settlement," LPR envoy Vladislav Deinego told Interfax.
He said that so far there remains a chance of a video conference on the peaceful settlement in Donbas before April 13.
"We have hopes that the videoconference will be held earlier because initially we agreed to hold the video conference several days after the previous one but now Kyiv is trying to shift questions of the political settlement to the background, therefore hopes are fading," Deinego said.
Previously some media reports quoting the French foreign minister said that the next ministerial meeting of the Normandy Four would be held in Berlin on April 13.
