Kyiv, Warsaw united on extension of anti-Russian sanctions - Poroshenko

KYIV. April 9 (Interfax) - Ukraine and Poland are calling for the sanctions against Russia to be extended over the situation in Donbas, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said.

"Ukraine and Poland have taken a united stance on the need to further extend the sanctions," he said after talks with his Polish counterpart Bronislaw Komorowski in Kyiv on Wednesday.

The sanctions can only be lifted if "the conditions which caused them in the first place [Crimea annexation and destabilization in Donbas] are eliminated," Poroshenko said.
