Putin: Russia to improve military organization amid mounting conflict potential

MOSCOW. April 9 (Interfax) - Russia will continue to bolster security by improving its military organization and interacting with states which aspire for peace, stability and development, President Vladimir Putin said.

"As we can see, certain countries are increasingly transforming their policy to pursue unrestricted preventive actions of the offensive type. As a result, the potential for conflict has been mounting in the areas strategic to Russia. Threats have been emerging and we cannot help but reckon with that," Putin said at the presentation of top-ranking officers at the Kremlin.

"For that reason, Russia will continue to bolster security, first and foremost, by improving its military organization and actively interacting with states which aspire for peace, stability and development," he underlined.
