OSCE SMM chief calls on Kyiv, militias to consolidate Donbas truce over Easter holidays

KYIV. April 9 (Interfax) - The head of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Special Monitoring Mission (OSCE SMM), Ertugrul Apakan, has called on the warring sides in eastern Ukraine to establish a steady truce ahead of the Orthodox Easter holidays.

Ambassador Apakan is wishing people all over Ukraine a peaceful and joyful Easter and urges all sides to the conflict to ensure a steady ceasefire, Apakan wrote in a letter read out by OSCE SMM spokesman Michael Bociurkiw at a briefing in Kyiv on Thursday.
