Russia to fold state stakes in MiG, Sukhoi, Tupolev into UAC

MOSCOW. April 20 (Interfax) - Russia might fold state stakes in four companies into United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) (MOEX: UNAC), a government source told Interfax.

He said that the government plans to pay for a new share issue by UAC with 10.66% of shares in aircraft holding company Sukhoi, 30.03% of RSK MiG, 3.14% of OJSC Tupolev and 15.9% of Gromov Flight Research Institute.

A presidential decree to this effect has already been drafted, he said.

UAC's IFRS report for 2014 states that as of the end of the year the state company owned 94.37% of shares in Tupolev, 57.06% of Sukhoi, 66.86% of RSK MiG and 86.85% of Gromov Flight Research Institute. However, the size of the stakes changes periodically. For example, the source said, steps are now being taken for the Russian government to give land to RSK MiG as a contribution to its charter capital, which will change the size of the state's interest in the company.

The Federal Property Agency owns 85.1% of UAC and state bank VEB (MOEX: VEBM) holds 8.65%.
