DONETSK. April 20 (Interfax) - Alexander Zakharchenko, the head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), said the kind of demilitarization that Ukraine wants will not happen in Donbas.
"Ukraine has suggested withdrawing units by two kilometers from the line signed on September 19 [2014 in Minsk]. And were would be expected to withdraw [the units] from the contact line that exists now. It turns out that Ukraine remains on its positions on the line from which we are supposed to withdraw. And it turns out that some of our territory goes under their control […] This kind of demilitarization is not going to happen," Zakharchenko said in Donbas on Monday.
