DONETSK. April 22 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has observed over 30 attacks by the Ukrainian army in the past 24 hours.
"Thirty-two violations of the ceasefire regime were committed by the Ukrainian army in the past 24 hours," the Donetsk news agency quoted the DPR Defense Ministry as saying on Wednesday.
"DPR populated localities were twice attacked by use of artillery guns which were compelled to be withdrawn from the contact line by the Minsk agreements," it said.
The ministry reported 20 attacks by 82mm and 120mm mortars, five attacks by tanks, one attack by anti-tank launcher, and four attacks by grenade launchers and small arms.
The DPR servicemen and civilians did not suffer casualties in those attacks, the ministry said.
The towns of Shyrokyne, Spartak, Horlivka, Zhabycheve, Olenivka and Nyzhnelozovo, as well as the Volvo Center and the Donetsk airport came under fire.
