ROSTOV-ON-DON. April 28 (Interfax-AVN) - A short circuit caused a fire and an explosion of a self-propelled artillery system during routine combat training of the Russian Armed Forces near the village of Kuzminki in Russia's southern Rostov region at 7:45 a.m. on April 28, Russian Southern Military District spokesman Col. Igor Gorbul told Interfax-AVN.
"The crew of this combat vehicle promptly evacuated to safety. The fire caused the self-propelled system's ammunition to detonate. The preliminary information available suggests that none of the servicemen was hurt," the officer said.
