MOSCOW. May 21 (Interfax) - Trucks from the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry are returning to the Rostov region after delivering humanitarian supplies to Donetsk and Luhansk in eastern Ukraine on Thursday, a spokesman for the ministry's National Crisis Management Center told Interfax.
"The trucks were unloaded in Luhansk and Donetsk. The empty vehicles are now heading to the Russian border," he said.
The humanitarian aid convoy, which consisted of more than 100 vehicles, delivered food, including tinned meat and fish, condensed milk and wheat flour, as well as other essential items, to this conflict-stricken region of Ukraine.
It was Russia's 27th humanitarian aid convoy for Donbas. More than 34,000 tonnes of relief supplies have been delivered to Donetsk and Luhansk since August 2014.
