BRICS political directors discuss Middle East situation in Moscow - Russian deputy FM (Part 2)

MOSCOW. May 22 (Interfax) - Deputy foreign ministers from the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) countries are holding consultations on the Middle East situation in Moscow, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov has said.

"Today Moscow is hosting Middle East consultations of deputy foreign ministers from the BRICS countries," he told a BRICS academic forum in Moscow on Friday.

"The Middle East is the most conflict-ridden region in the world, the most complicated knot of contradictions," the Russian diplomat said.

"I sincerely welcome the readiness of BRICS countries' governments, Foreign Ministry representatives and diplomats to come to Moscow in order to compare their approaches and try to look for joint solutions at this quite responsible stage of the processes in the Middle East region," Ryabkov said.
