MOSCOW. May 22 (Interfax) - The Russian Audit Chamber has exposed 92 billion rubles' worth of violations in its verification of the 2014 budget performance by the Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos), Audit Chamber Chairperson Tatiana Golikova has said.
"We have verified the performance of the 2014 Roscosmos budget. I did not believe my inspectors at first: uncovered financial violations stood at 92 billion rubles," she said.
In the words of Golikova, Roscosmos committed violations in budget reports, misused its funds and inefficiently spent money in the construction of facilities.
On the whole, the Russian Audit Chamber reported a surge in budget performance violations compared to 2013. "I was totally surprised. I did the first budget performance check in 2013, and the number of violations soared in 2014," Golikova said.
