DPR does not confirm complete withdrawal of Ukrainian heavy weapons

MOSCOW. June 9 (Interfax) - The Defense Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has refuted the complete withdrawal of Ukrainian heavy weapons from the contact line in Donbas.

"Kyiv's claims that heavy armaments have been pulled back from the contact line to the distances required by the Minsk agreements are totally cunning. We do not confirm the complete withdrawal of their heavy weapons," senior official of the DPR Defense Ministry Eduard Basurin told Interfax on Tuesday.

Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesperson Viktoria Kushnyr said earlier that the army had pulled back every piece of heavy weaponry from the contact line to the distances required by the Minsk agreements and that the weapon storage sites were being constantly monitored by the OSCE.
