Brussels hasn't issued recommendations to Kyiv on Minsk agreements - European Commission president

BRUSSELS. June 26 (Interfax) - The European Commission has not issued any special recommendations to Ukraine on fulfilling the Minsk agreements on settling the conflict in the eastern part of the country, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said at a press conference following a two-day meeting of the European Council on Friday.

Juncker said, however, that the European Commission would welcome the implementation of the Minsk agreements in full and by the dates earlier agreed upon.

A number of Ukrainian media outlets had reported earlier with reference to diplomatic sources that the European Commission demanded that Kyiv start implementing the rest of the Minsk agreements provisions even before a ceasefire was fully observed by the parties.
